On the flip side, we have three generations of people who have this idea planted in their heads that there is never anything you can do, plus 40+ years of corporate meddling with our court system. So I can see why folks incorrectly assume things. What’s crazy is I have no proper legal training and even I know that complaints at a store you don’t even work at would raise a lot of red flags even with corporate HR.
This is kind of accurate. If they fired him with no reason given he wouldn’t have a case in terms of unfair dismissal. But if they fired him with cause for a poor performance he would have a case in that the basis for that dismissal was fraudulent reports originating in another store. And there is a clear motive and apparently a record of that.
