I can’t see it mentioned in the article but does this include storage or just production? I was under the impression that battery tech was still really expensive in comparison. What a folly. Solar requires a storage or backup system for 12hrs per day. The only logical solution to our energy needs is geothermal energy, we are literally walking.
We will keep hearing this same old story until there is a much greener more expensive option. Headline: Fusion now the cheapest source of energy despite big solar’s assertion otherwise. It’s also incredibly unreliable, and large scale farms aren’t able to be made to work properly. It’s not yet a viable form of power, except on small, home systems.
