What I’m curious about is: how do you now enforce that with a mask mandate? Many people are having to make do with what face coverings they can find, and I live in an area with a lot of Somali and South Asian Muslims. I have seen the niqab or niqab-like coverings come “back” into use, even by women who admit they do not wear it normally because it’s an easily accessible face covering for COVID. Tie it or tuck a loose end, you basically have a mask. I mean, if one already has niqab material around or has trouble getting masks- don’t punish people for making do.
Regardless of who the arbiter is the argument depends on that person’s sense of right and wrong. Likewise, whatever I consider moral would not be moral to you and whatever I consider immoral would not be immoral to you.Again that’s the problem and thus creating a paradox Is this kind of policy even effective? It comes to my mind that families that would enforce their daughter wear a full face covering would just withdraw their child from school rather than just stop all of a sudden.
