I was invited to a wedding when I was in my early 20s as my friend’s +1. I basically refused to dance when everyone else was dancing. Do you know what’s far more noticeable than a person mediocrely dancing on a crowded dance floor? The person sitting at a table by themselves NOT dancing. I can’t dance because I don’t really care about it too much so I never really practiced but no one is born knowing how to dance. Just need to practice
Genuinely, I think white families and communities just don’t dance enough. Like, I grew up listening to rap and country almost equally, but my parents never danced around, aside from the rare occasion at a wedding. Of course, it was to things like the cha-cha slide (just saying this makes me cringe lmao) or rock and country.
